Ko te kotuku rerenga a tahi
I created this poster for a Toi Atea (Maori Visual Culture) assignment. I wanted to celebrate the life of Dame Whina Cooper as an inspiration for Maori women. I chose to represent the Maori proverb ‘Ko te kotuku rerenga a tahi’, which compares a great person to a white heron, which may only be seen once in a lifetime.
